ahhh
im so happy
got a call
abt something
something
that e band wil noe very soon
anyway. sch today. was ok. still in crossing borders mood. no mood to do anything this few weeks. like totally bz with crossing borders
now that it is over, i miss all e pracs and discussions and paperwork
yesterday was one of my most exciting days
slept well on saturday night
woke up ard 8.
went to buy breakfast at mac, near tpjc.
reached tpjc at 850. 2nd to arrive, after lynette who bravely unlocked e gates and rolled up e shutters alone
yah she was doing the tag thing
and then i did paperwork. briefing. all those stuff.. read scores
and then ppl start flowing in..
i started greeting them. like top 10. top 20. stopped ard top 40.. coz we had meeting.. abt wad to brief
yah. briefing went on. super on time.. at e time we started e briefing, all e perc stuff were outside, and even e trumpets and horns were like super kiasu that they put their stuff outside band room even before the meeting started
many thanks to boonhwee,tng, houyuan who came back to healp. and also to shikah, wendy for visiting us in e morning.
briefing was good. spirits were high. there was this undescridable feeling..
ok. left at ard 1130. was kinda messy coz the bus had no luggage compartments for our instruments
e worst thing was that
1)my bus which was e last to leave overtook e lorry at ECP meanign that e lorry was at e back!
2)bus 1 went to the wrong entrance
everything was screwed up initially
thankfully, our band members understood e situation. and the situation wasnt chaotic. good thing we reminded them that anything cld screw up xept e performance
yah. then the next thing that screwed up was the fact that we cldnt draw out the keys to the dressing rooms
had to wait for like 1/2 hr lor
everyone stood there like idiot
yah. shifting of percussion was fine
den everybody got noisy when we were finally able to unlock e doors.. cheering like crazy and stuff.. haha dunno why oso. super lame
put our stuff
and went to artists lounge. briefing was supposed to start at 1245. but postponed for 10 minutes coz my section girls werewatching hmm. huanzhugege
haha
brefing started. ate curry puffs. duno why ended up eating only e potatoes
then hmm.. free time
walked around coz apparently my room was inundated with the instrument cases.
dr lee's room is fantastically fabulous
yup
went around
saw flutes and fhorn squeezed in one teeny weeny room playing twister
super funny
and e guys sitting outside leaning against the walls
poor thing.
shld hav given them more rooms lah
but wad to do. 88 ppl share 6 rooms
then we had our rehearasl. combined with choir
haha. tpjcband ppl r just so noisy!! haha. funny!
then we had our own one
was fine
tink we sounded nicer on band room then onstage coz im not at e audience seat obviously
haha
den had changing time. dinner and stuff
went outside to get dr lee's dinner
borrowed dr lee's bathroom to take a quick shower
put on my stuff
ate
and then started getting ready
everyone met in artists lounge at 6 for briefing. and at 640 to get up on stage
finally went up at 7.10
den tuning
den it was the PERFORMANCE
and it ended
and we went crazy
and ran to rooms ad pack up
and ran out to stage door
and ran to meet our frens

den ran back to keepour stuff
and ran to artists lounge

it was great
photo taking was ok
dr lee seemed to be happy
then we pack up. left and reach tpjc at abt 11
den ate leftovers
took taxi with robert and mazlinah
section awards(non official)
section with my greatest emphathy - basses (no room, so gott ashare with dr lee, but the room super luxurious)
section with fascination for photos - saxophones (forever taking)
section with noisiest noise - trumpets (forever talking haha)
section with most commendable spirit - fhorn (amongst e smallest section, but was gr8)
section with weirdest activity - flutes (playing twister during break)
section with weirdest hair - my section. plus all tat glitters and the weird way they tie up..
section with most hardworking members - tuba (study scores like crazy)
section with lots of desire to study music - double reeds (wanna go library borrow scores)
section with greatest level of tolerance - euphonium, for squeezing with us
section with most work to do - percz lah
so hppy!
plus now gto 2 pots of gold at e end of rainbow after heavy rain
