And so, its confirmed that results are coming out on friday afternoon. I am reminded of a scene that suddenly seems to be all too famliar. Shall not describe it. I really cannot be bothered to waste my energy thinking about results. but i cant help. i try to eliminate every thought that comes to my mind. worried we all may be, but this is just the conclusion of another chapter. just like when we read the end of a chapter, we only have a rough idea of whats in the later chapters. a level results marks the end of a chapter. each of us may have distinct and unique stories, but its either
1) you do well and your future is bright
2) you do well but your future is screwed up
3) you did badly but your future is bright
4) you did badly but your future is screwed up
only time will reveal our story lines.
to my friends, remain calm. now is not the time to panic. the appropriate time to panic is over. for now, i am glad that i panic at the correct time. months ago. (even after some of the papers). its not like im expecting to do well, well, i hope that i can do well enough to get into SMU business. but i just see no point worrying. sometimes, i doubt myself. like now. im contradicting myself. im supposedly not worrying but im writing so much about results.
yesterday marked the end of my service to coccinelle (MB Melwani). they called me back to help out for 5 days. if i thought working 12 hours(full shift) on sunday was bad enough, i worked for 13 hours yesterday. Yesterday was aigner(taka) last day, so i just stayed back to help. lol. they were quite nostalgic and emotional abt it coz EATK been around ever since taka spore was established. that means 12 years. well. its hard to survive and thrive. with boring sporeans going for common-instead-of-exclusive brands like gucci and louis vuitton. more recently coach as well. at aigner, you sell two bags, and your sales figure can hit almost 4k. at coccinelle, you need to sell at least 8 bags to hit 4k. lol. but aigner's designs seems to be rather mature. might not appeal to the senses of the younger generation. its like from 10 aigner outlets to only 2 now. raffles hotel and paragon. wow. i just think that cc and ea just lack a and p. anyway, i helped them bring down 3 boxes(for bags i think). empty ones. there were px tags pasted on the box. wow. $8,400 bags. lol. jean can go buy hermes birkin with those kinda money. orange colour. lol. anyway, hermes has very striking paper bags. its in orange. lol. i think kate spade's paper bags appear to be rather classy as well. coach one is not bad actually. i hate ppl who carry lv and gucci paper bags. apparently, they like to showoff. lol. hmmm. this is what i learn in retail. brands. previously, i only knew of sports brands, but now, im much more aware about retail.
