As promised, im gonna post a full length entry regarding the past few months. So here it goes...
So time really flies. It has been 5 months since A levels. Dec, Jan, Feb, March and April. Qualifies as almost half a year. As much as i wish that i can be enlisted earlier, i am thankful that i have been given ample time and countless opportunities to try out new things. Although i still wasn't able to complete all my objectives/goals, i am still satisfied that i managed to cover and attempt most of it.
So.. in retrospect...
December 2004
1st Dec - Prom. Still able to play images of prom in my mind. Was super excited. Was full of pomp and glitter.
2nd Dec - went for job interview at Aigner. lol. was very very lucky. managed to get the job coz they were in need of staff. went with serene and poh lu. poh lu turned out to be one of aigner's best temporary staff. lol. and the manager's favourite. when i remember that jessica complained that he was blur on his first day. haha. khaledah interviewed me. and she sent me to coccinelle. i had no idea what kind of brand coccinelle is. lol. all i knew was that khaledah said that " coccinelle needs a guy!!" so yeahahaha. and her remark at the end of the interview was.. "am i interviewing you or are you interviewing me?" haha. she is the supermama with 6 kids.. as pohlu would say. orite. back on track now. after the interview, went back home to sleep.
3rd dec- my 1st day at coccinelle. haha. went to the mosque 1st. initially had quite a hard time looking for the shop. yeah. found steph in the pantry. and had to serve customers straightaway. belived i was blur then coz yeah. what?? bags??? haha. all of them looked the same to me. then we did the xmas decor. lol.then jess came back.. well i remembered that we had standchart promotion. 25% off. and lots of ppl came to buy. there was even this customer who rushed home and came back later in the evening with her standchart so as not to miss out the good promotion. HAHAHA. and yeah, i served her on at least 2 other occasions at taka.
the rest of the month was a breeze. sortof got accustomed to retail life. my hours were odd. 1.30-9.30 everyday. yeah. posted to taka on some days. yeah. it was damn boring. esp if they extend their hours.. 2.30-10.30. i remembered some nasty experience. like when lily, the laff laulen(LOL) staff told me to put my hands in front and not at the back. lol. hated her then. but turns out everybody at that corner, ralph lauren, lulu guiness, lesportsac and longchamp are extremely friendly and helpful. and when i told the security guard to shut up when he asked me why i got no name tag. haha. orite.
outing wise, i can only remember the xmas eve outing. with dor, kok, pwee and candy. they went to find me at raffles city coccinelle. then we went to the pacific coffee joint at citylink. had coffee and some pastries. just stoned and then i went home coz it was already 12 plus. haha. orite. okok. im tryin to recall what other gatherings i had.
oh yeah, apart from that outing, i just remembered that i went out with andrew, grace chen and hui si on 13th December. one of the few off days i had in december. lol. went around town. watched a movie.. cant remember what now. they had sushi(yucks). then walked around orchard road as the xmas decor was still up. took 518 home. yeap.
Conclusion : December was quite a breeze. It was when i got my 1st pay cheque. and it was alot! really beyond my expectation. coz the basic pay was only 5 per hr. and theres incentive. 10 dollars per item sold. plus they had end of season sale.. so u can imagine... but im broke now. bah. thats not e point. the next point is that yeah, i managed to make new friends. ie. my colleagues esp stephanie and jessica. lol. they are the raffles city coccinelle team. yup. only 2 of them. lol. and yeap. very helpful ever willing to teach. cheerful and fun.
January 2005
Became even busier. Learnt more stuff at coccinelle. Like the previous month, was trusted to man the taka counter alone. Which can get quite scary coz u got to deal with nasty customers(coz of alteration, goods exchange etc) or nasty office people who think that everybody in sales cannot make it coz they are too stupid thats why they cant find other jobs, yeaps. I remember that yeah, work wise, there was this crazy day. when i IOS 10 bags from paragon to taka and then WT came at abt 6plus. after siti went home. so i had to settle over 60/70 bags. haha. almost died. my stock didnt tally. but found out that it was part of a spillover effect. coz there are like sooo many staff on rotation at taka. the counting can get veyr very complicated. The pay this month wasnt as good as dec's coz 1stly, i request to work lesser days. and secondly, was at taka, so yeah, supposedly slower sales then raffles city coz of the abundance of bags over there. plus coccinelle might be regarded as some kucingkurap brand by singaporeans who only go for ehem.. lv or gucci. lol. thats all they noe.
had lots of gathering. yup. lunch appointments with hak, shuhui, huiran etc among many others. settles rouge thing. BAH. did their tickets. BAH. and yeah. yeah. rememberd the day when janice came and then freaked jessica out. coz she was so funny. and they ate nuts together in the shop. and then supposed to meet melvin but he got stomach problem. lol! oh yeah. the day when melvin took the wrong bus and ended up in tampines instead of holland v. and then managed to gather some ppl for a mini gathering at nydc. lol. nice cheesecake. lol. and then yeah the seoul garden meal, incredibles(lagging) and basically thats it. oh yeah, as well as athena's bday party at 3monkeys on 24th i think. or isit 23rd. one of the sundays. i came after work. 930. there was mario, ade and bf, athena and veron. lol.
conclusion : january was even faster. came up with the decision not to continue in feb. and gave a lame reason.. scared that i will get enlisted. but janet was damn smart.. "they will tell u at least 2 months in advance what?" and then we found out of the family ties.. hahahahha. damn funny. good month. i remembered signing up for driving as well. lol. on 24th january. lol. all my money was channeled to driving. yeay. well done.
february 2005
2nd feb was my basic theory as well as my job interview. got the job at singtel. well.supposedly a 1 month assignemnt but only worked for 3 weeks. yeah. i realised that im just summarising all my previous posts so you can actually just click on the previous post. and ta-da. lol. haha. ok
im in need of time now so..
conclusion : short month. was fun. visited to coccinelle a few times and ended up working for 5 days at taka. aigner closed down. lol. yeah.
march 2005
conclusion : had intensive driving lesosns but discovered that i wont finish in time before NS. worked at coccinelle for 4 days at raffles city. haha. so funny. then left for thailand.. for 5 days break.
april 2005
was quite a good month. ok shall get back to blogging once i get back tonight... or tmr..
