and so...
we have successfully completed(oh well, attended) modified basic military training, mohawk coy, school2. 33rd batch. 220405-070605
conclusion
mohawk coy has taught me lots. guess its the same everywhere. the experience will definitely be educational regardless of the shiet you go through. just that in mohawk, you go through slightly more shiet although there might be some parties claiming that the shiet that we go through has been filtered prob coz we are PES C and also coz of a new OC who seems to be rather strict with the instructors. oh well, im proud to say that im from mohawk. now i understand why the instructors were always strict with us, well, most of the time.. coz they want us to be standing on our own feet, ie. have pride. dont let others look down on us.
mohawk instructors are a strange bunch. really thankful that platoon 2 got really damn good and nice and efficient and fair instructors. esp sgt hadi. sgt rongxin. sgt samuel and the ever cocky sgt kok hui. just that sgt izhar seems to have some kind of attitude just bcoz he was ORDing.(now ORD already). and a strict PC, lta ibrahim whom we fondly remember due to the GAC/DAC incident whereby we fall in late.. and he punished us like crazy and said. "i dont care if your leg your hand break today. i dont care. i will make sure you die. i will really make sure you DIE"
as we walk along the jetty, to our fast craft, we bid farewell to other platoon sgts and sirs. the expression on our face was that of an estatic one. where as the expression portrayed by the instructors was a mixed one. they seemed to be rather sad that yeah, this batch is over, cant tekan anymore. but you can see the sense of accomplishment in them. that "yes, ive completed this task". i mean, if we were in their shoes, we wld feel the same way. as in the sense of relief after completing a task.
but really. the sgts are actually very caring, despite their wayangness sometimes, esp the bulldozer. lol. but yeap. guess its part and parcel of their job to wayang. but if i had the power to promote, i would promote
1) sgt garvin. (yes, i remember the times when he brought nightsnacks into our bunk although he is not our DI, but its not bcoz of nightsnacks. its bcoz of how he does his things)
2)2lt jonathan(he helped me lots during grenade)
3)2lt zhengxi
4)sgt hadi(again)
plus ppl like sgt azlan, hong and samuel actually deserve mention as well.
too bad i only passed out as a recruit. LOL. wait long long lah
guess the 46 days has taught me lots.
today the whole section was pretty furious with roney as usual.
well after reading yaoji's blog, yeah. one particular paragraph. made lots of sense. the part of him being dumb and genuinely stupid, thus disabling him from relating himself to the rest of mainstream society(in the case of tekong, soldier life) or making himself useful.
i blame all of it on his upbringing. but theres nothing we can do now, he is out on his own.
during the 46 days, we have been helping him like crazy. but right now, he is out on his own. knowing that SAF is not a very safe and politic free place, thats why we(more like they) got furious just now.
i dunno whether i shld be thankful that i cant understand mandarin that well, otherwise i wld engage in their conversation actively. more like scold him all the way.
thanks platoon 2 for the memories.
half ah beng slacker. half jc nerds.
lol. the ah beng/mat group were damn good at talking to instructors as well as being the jokers
the jc nerds(including yours truly) were the kanchiong spider who always fall in at least 10 minutes before time.
haha.
bye BMTC2
im glad its all over
although i got to retake ippt yeay. due to pull ups
