GSMB
boring week. but rather short coz i had several medical appointments which were a waste of itme of course. AH doctor wanted to take out all my wisdom tooth(ok.. teeth). All four. aircon broke down at S1branch. damn stuffy and warm. not sure whether it has already been repaired coz apparently the key was with some wo on friday who went out of camp.
manifestasi
i went for tpjc's annual mcs production. it has the same elements as of previous years ie. dance, db, drama with lots of humour. but having been to 2 manifestasi nights, i must say that i had high expectation for this year's prodn. It was okay. but, the script was similar to maharajalela(and maharajalela had certainly more substance). And the standard isnt as good as last yr's. Perhaps last yr's standard was very very good. But overall, it was okay.
The audience crowd. More of a JC batch this year, with lots of ppl attending in their respective uniform. Maybe its because its held on a weekday?
Anyway, i dropped by band room for awhile. The alumni band were waiting for their practice to commence. Sort of miss band. :)
I got tix for maharajela from razinah. so i went with her and some other ppl from her batch and their friends. apparently, shes a relief tcher at broadrick sec sch. and she told me that she makes her students do silly stuff (Like standing in the hot sun and putting their shoes over their head, or kissing the grd) because they are just too naughty and uncontrollable. And the previous teacher left after MIA-ing for two weeks coz she cldnt take the pressure i guess. Im nt gonna bcum a teacher.
R-J-C outing
our initials form RJC. ridza jacinth chinkee. lol. was quite fun.
had dinner at secret recipe. not really thattt nice.. average
then we proceeded to esplanade and walked around city hall area.
finally settled down for coffee at starbucks raffles city. And we were acting very silly.
We were debating whose sch compound/campus is better.
So we went.. "We have 3 basketball courts" Then another person will say "we have 2" and then the other person will say "we also have 2"
Riddyculous stuff like the number of canteen stalls, the number of LTs, the kind of teachers etc.
We did that for over 1 1/2 hrs. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
so it was the great debate between rjc, tpjc and nyjc. LOL
I met lots of people. Among them were
Kok leong, pwee, farah who were going for yoga.
Sara A06 who suddenly came up to me and hit my shoulder
Hannan who was with a girl(a different girl each time i bump into him)
Ana, presumably from the NDP preview.
Xuekun, Owen and Clarence Chang who claimed that i walk past them but i didnt notice their presence.
Driving
Had one lesson yesterday, and another one today.
yesterday's lesson was quite terrible in comparison to today's.
Today's was much much way way better.
My parking was straight.
My speed control for the courses was good.
My slope was good too.
The part on the road was good.
I made more safety checks
and Lesser errors.
YEAY
but im not expecting much from this thursday's test
coz anyting can happen
just hope for the best but expect the worst
yes yes so cliched.

im having weird "hallucinations"
i think of a certain smell, and i will be able to extract a particular scene from the past.
army is like school. sometimes better, sometimes worse.
army has rules
school has rules
army has riddyculous rules
school has riddyculous rules
guess what!
just as i finally received my hardcopy of the LOA for IMAGE CAPTURING DEVICES at 1530, my section IC received an email at 1730 stating that CHIEF OF DEFENCE has banned all camera phones and all LOAs are void.
CAN U BELIEVE IT?
haha. i met the rp who issued the thing out just now and he laffed too. haha its HILARIOUS
and we had some kind of MSD check.
better shut up, otherwise they will "catch" me.

Driving
Finally! I officialy finished the revision module for driving lessons. But i am super kiasu, so i have 2 more practice sessions before the real thing. I guess its good that i have 2 more lessons cause i dont think i portrayed myself as a confident driver for today's lesson. I started off badly at the slope coz i usually start badly every lesson. Ok, the previous sentence makes no sense. But parking and s and crank course were okay. And i drove quite okay on the road today. Lane change and speed control no problem. Just that i was too fast for the 1st u-turn. other than that, the instructor had no negative comments(which might be good or bad) perhaps cause he was busy talking abt GSMB or SIA girls.
Anyway, its been 6 months since ive enrolled myself in CDC. I've still not graduated. Ok, maybe very soon. I remember going to CDC with andrew. And forking out so-much-money to register and book lessons. I've spent over 2k now. Abt 600 has been paid by my dad, and the rest by me. I feel so broke now. I cld have saved so much more. But i wld have spent it anyway. But once again, its good to complete it now. But i have no expectation for my test. Knowing that anything can happen. Im not excited abt getting a licence, unless someone gets me a car.
Coccinelle
I went back to coccinelle today! haha. stayed quite long. steph and jes were working. i even served some customers. YEAH!
GSMB
5 more days before the next weekend. Gotta remember to get my off-passes. and those stupid guardroom people are delaying my LOA shiet. Its lame coz my camera phone been approved by S1 and the unit security officer but the guardroom people are taking their own sweet time to come one with a teeny-weeny card for me to put in my wallet so that i can flash it when there are handphone checks.
National Library
I went to national livbrary today. the new one opposite bugis junction. It was more like a SHOPPING CENTRE. i Stepped out the moment i saw the SUPERMARKET crowd at the central lending section at the BASEMENT level. i Didnt dare venture the upper levels.
The Near Future.
My female batchmates are moving into their halls and hostels. Have fun! i need to find something to occupy myself this 2 years. any suggestions?

theres bring it on, on tv
reminds me of those new millinium times. as in the approach of Y2K. haha. oh well. its 5 years ago. :) or 6? 7?
just came back from guess what.. "tpjc band alumni malay gathering" at 3monkeys. some restaurant at orchard parade area. abt 17 people i think. some abseentees like razinah. most of them were from tkss, tkgs or vs. so dinner was quite okay. pizza and tropical sundae. managed to get athena's help to get 10percent off.
so i sat in the middle. frankly, i only know like 1/3 of the people there. haha. most of them were from the 83 and 84 batch. and theres only shahidah and me from the 86 batch.
it was quite good. although i didnt talk much. coz razinah wasn't there.
at one end of the table, there were some funny jokes made by heikal with the 83 and 84 batch. at the other end, shufi was showing some magic tricks.
so once again, if u go out with friends you havent meet up in a long long time, they will ask you what are you doing. yeah most of the guys(coming from jcs and pes a batch) are officers now. like im pes c. so? haha. ohwell. the guy who was sitting opposite me is a pc at pegasus. and shufi is a pc in school 1. and yeah. theres the police ppl too. dunno dont care. haha.
:)
im broke
flesh imp has rather nice shirts. i bought 1. to discover i cld have gotten 10% off.

Some interesting quotes i came across recently..
1) friendster message wrt tpjc band tuning in
"Better be safe than sorry.. i noe you'll wan to go to better sch but den at least secure a place here. You'll nv noe if you'll perform badly for ur prelims or O's.. I look forward to your presence on one of those days~!! "
haha. what a unique advertising technique. well done tpjcians. Mrs neo will SCREAM at you all if she sees that. but its now mr bock isnt it? haha. but i can imagine mrs neo going.. "I TELL YOU AH! BLAH BLAH BLAH" lol.
2)i opened my mailbox today and immediately recognised hew wing's beautiful handwriting.
She mailed me a letter, to invite me to her birthday celebration at aranda country club on 6th august. it was super naggy and phrased like a wedding invitation.
Some interesting quotable quotes :
- "for friends who are driving, there would be no free parking for you. you will have to park your car at their car park using Cashcard payment" no no, not everybody has uncontrolled/unlimited access to their cars unlike andrew or adeline or caroline. and not everybody has their license. like me.
- "...pl dont forget that the celebration's on the 6th of august! remember.. 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august 6th august ..... " written like a true blue hew wing.
- and "looking forward to seeing you on 6th august. Hew wing and ******" written like a true blue wedding couple. lol.
Im going im going im going.
i am going to be real busy this few weeks
lots of work at s1 branch now that we are approaching ICT. and yeah. to list out some of my activities.
22/7 - nsmen section dinner
23/7 - tpjc band ( alumni) malay gathering.
24/7 - driving lessons
28/7 - sgh appointment(blood test before that)
29/7 - alexandra hosp dental appt. driving lesson/manifestasi
31/7 - driving lesson
1/8 - dental at SAFTI MI
4/8 - driving test ( I HOPE I PASS!)
5/8 - TPJC band concert
6/8 - hew wing's bday celeb.. party sounds too kiddish
9/8 - national day
10/8 - ICT Commences. get NSF pay. :)
Stop here 1st.
anyway, did i say that i managed to run more than 6km yesterday. alright. jogged non-stop 6km. from my hse to bedok reservoir and manage to complete 1 round of bedok reservoir. at the 1km point of bedok res, i met ms teo. quite a surprise. i saw her again at the finishing point when i was staring at the water.. thinking.. i think that i should give AHM a try. its not because of the 7 days off reward, but yeah, just want to try something new. i decided that im going to run for 20minutes on the threadmill on tues and thurs. and 6km on sundays. hope to increase the distance. im training on stamina. and not on speed. coz you need to have stamina to have speed.. right.. :) i wish i shld have been more consistent during my pre ns period. but i think i can run better now. although not much better, maybe just the stamina part
i have made up my mind. i think i wont have any regrets if i get posted overseas. im gonna save up. hope that it can go up to 5 figures. but knowing the kind of person i am... haha. FAT HOPE. but im actually looking forward to it. because im going to treat it like a break before i continue with education once again. Right now, im treating army like some kind of job exposure thing because right now, we are dealing with real professionals and THEIR BOSSES and our direct bosses and superiors. bosses who can just go into your room by surprise and start scolding you for being too rigid. when we actually followed the directive. :)
i miss my friends. i miss being socially active. i don't know. its quite scary to make new friends.

saturday was fun.
had a good time. been such a long time since ive been out with the 2 grps of friends.
sometimes its good to be alone, coz we can reflect on our short and long term goals.
but its also good to be with yr friends, coz its just good. doesnt make sense, but it actually makes sense! haha.
alright.
1. met jessica, pat, steph for lunch at delifrance. all my ex colleagues from coccinelle. well, jess is still the supervisor. pat is in pjc now. steph is helping to run her dad's business. lol. pat is the little bitch. steph is the big boobies. im jess' boyfriend. haha. damn funny. i nvr worked with pat before but shes those kind of typical ij girl lah. steph is still bimbotic as usual. and jessica still the same. lol. it was good.
2. i met my jc band section mates. my trombone section! argh. 02 and 03 batch. 10 of us, cedric, yanting, shazwani, rensun, me, lynnette, lynette, huihoon, xinjia and fraemone. had an even better time. of coz, firdaus MIA. as usual. i dont remember seeing him during any of our outings before.
of course it has been a long time since the trombone section had a get together. we should do it more often. reminded me of the wonderful memories that we used to have. especially the pre SYF period. the section was super united, and outings were held frequently. i remember we used to frequent the central macs. and the band used to occupy the entire middle section where there were longer tables. with the renovation and redecoration done, the middle section where we had many memories is replaced by even longer tables.
cedric, the sl, used to snap his fingers alot during sectionals. and even used the cleaning rod as the baton. sectionals were always held in front of the auditorium. and i remember that our scores always flew. sometimes though, we will have our section at the study area in between the toilets. sectionals used to make us sweaty, although it was quite windy.
1st trombone
rensun xinjia me
2nd trombone
shazwani, lynette, huihoon
3rd trombone
cedric firdaus yanting lynnette fraemone
the technicality of band music was a bore to me. i remember we used to break up the piece part by part and work on them. it was definitely tedious but the results were always satisfying.
i appealed into tpjc for the 1st 3 months. initially, i was very scared and nervous because i thought it would be a highly stressful environment. but it was full of fun people, at least before the SYF. my section was closely bonded. we used to exchange lots of gifts between seniors and juniors. i came in together with xinjia. well, she came in earlier. ever since the tune in and yeah played for the reminiscence concert. then huihoon, lynnette, lynette and one guy came along. then finally fraemone joined us.
yanting was my senior in shss. and she was/is as serious as ever.
rensun used/and still is excited over every single thing.
cedric is still the same.
shazwani too.
and firdaus.. yeah firdaus. who can expect the slacker mat relac-one-corner to become an nsf policeman(slacking all the way though). haha. we didnt expect him to turn up so no one called him. he used to doze off when mr lee's teaching and always wake up in time to play... and still manage to play well. i dont know how! haha. must be the vs culture of playing everyday.
well we met at pizza hut. had a good meal with lots of laughter. then proceeded to esplanade where we waited for the fireworks(and yeah tkwo concert was going on and we were too late in deciding to get tix(a month ago) and so its sold out) and went to starbucks for more laughter. then we went home, laughing all the way.
i guess its when u dont meet yr friends often that u fully appreciate their presence. and we start to wish for the past.
-ends abruptly again-

And so its the end of yet another work week. hectic yet boring. lots to learn but nothing seems to be interesting. i cant believe my colleagues has been doing those kind of shiet day in day out. although we encounter new problems daily, theres not much of a challenge to the whole thing.
i went to dso building to go mmi for some opg thing. yeah. quite an interesting xray. and the guy who did the xray is one year my senior from tpjc. damn funny.
oh well. guess what. i am in tpjc's website in the other window and accidentally pressed something. the 1st thing i see is my A levels results. well, they tabulate all the common test and prelim and promos results. and yeap. sad to say that i did better for my promos in relation to my As.
most of the time, we hear success stories of slackers doing well. sometimes, we hear stories of muggers doing badly. i belong to the latter. its been months since the results were released, and many more months since a levels but it seems that i cant over the fact that i underperformed. blame it all to the festive season. but i cant. its fated. it was really the worst nightmare coming true. for i had a bad dream abt 2 weeks before the release of results. in that dream, i dreamt of getting exactly the same grades i got for A levels. well, whatever it is, its just my luck. and i got into nus anyway so heck... :p
read jac's blog. wow. so touched. lol. she devoted a whole entry to guosh, ck and me! haha. but yeap. i remember the few times when we meet up to mug at raffles place. lol. and end up playing hangman etc. and the outings. haha. to think that we were all bandmates for like 4 days in 2003. its quite interesting because everybody's leading a distinct kind of life now. ck's busy in guards. jac's gonna start school next month. guo's busy slacking in band. and im busy in gsmb. oh well, im too lazy to write a whole entry about it so hmm one paragraph will suffice ok?
i miss secondary school. i miss jc. i miss schooling days.
i dont' know how many times i mentioned this already.
oh well.
the much-talked-about topic today.. mr t t durai.
oh well. whatever it is, i think that his action of stepping down is useless. lots to say. will elaborate next time. well, i hate the idea of "staff behind mr t t durai" because they just want to take care of their rice bowl. so what if he is a nice guy? the nicest people can be the most evil too. but ponder.. nkf's fund raising is perhaps too advanced and successful. thats why they are able to have so much reserves. my thoughts.. lets just channel our funds to other organisations in need, but not to neglect NKF. but im just nobody who thinks twice about buying anything now. poor army boy. and my conclusion is that mr tt durai should set up his own business even at the age of 57. get it?

today was pretty bad. but i dont really care.
1st of all, co rejected some of the promotion letters coz i left the salutation out. well, i followed the exact format that they used in the past and yeah, the DEAR MR SO AND SO is missing so we had to do it again. and our toner ran out just as we were about to print. this is a minor part of just mere editing.
the 2nd part. CO called S1 and ns men section(comprising for 3 DXOs and 2NSFs) to his office. coz he wasnt very happy abt how we were handling the deferment cases, now that we are being inundated by a sudden surge in requests. theres this stupid guy who applied for deferment for the upcoming august ICT coz he says he has gotten a job in HONGKONG. when i gathered the information from RM3, i wasnt aware that he IS ALREADY in HK. so i just passed the whole thing to Lim coz he was supposed to oversee everything. so Lim settled the meets the guideline and categorisation. and then... he passed to me to call the guy up. his home num isnt in use anymore and he had an overseas sounding ringing tone. so i passed the whole case back to jonathan. and then he called and found out that HE IS ALREADY IN HK and HE DIDNT APPLY ANY EXIT PERMIT NOR INFORM ANYONE. and then yeah. s1 reccomended then CO wasnt very pleased abt the case. coz apparently, none of the DXOs were aware of the case. in essence, everybody was at fault. even S1 admitted. well, i thought he is quite egoistic. but yeah, brave enough to admit that it was his fault too. but i dunno whats happening. basically CO thinks that with so many DXOs, things are still quite inefficient. yeah. try handling 1000 working adults.. and half of them are always MIA. lol.
thirdly, the aircon broke down after lunch for a few hours. lol resorted to opening the windows. damn funny
oh well. today was boring as usual
my LOA is not ready
tmr will be boring as well

guess what. this is my 428th post. wow. and my blog is slightly older than 2 years old. yeay. haha.
today's like any other sunday. driving lessons 1st. and im happy coz i completed parallel parking.. FINALLY. phew~ the remaining lessons are gonnabe revision lessons. i hope i pass. but i wont be surprised if i dont.
friday. after knocking off, i went straight to have my weekly routine of mango salad. then visited jes.
yesterday. went town to shop alone but nothing nice so didnt buy. and then met up with hew wing andrew and adeline. they picked me up at raffles city. was kind of confusing coz they werent allowed to wait. so they had to go round and round. haha. then we went straight to marina south where they had dinner and we managed to watch the fly-past and the fireworks. then we went orchard. walked around. then just sat at coffee bean and talk alot of rubbish as usual. i almost died laffing. thanks to lai hew wing.
nothing much to expect for this upcoming week. gonna go through the monotony of work. seriously i wont mind being paid 6 bucks per hr to do all those stuff. but yeah, the thing is im paid 11.75 per day. lol. hope i wont spend money this coming week so i can shop for some stuff. feeling bored of my usual style. erps.
ok. ive got mmi at NUH. and dental at safti mi. and some follow up crap at sgh. and driving test. wow. 1 activity each week. nt looking forward to dental coz its damn fugging far. lol.

as usual i board the train yesterday
sat down
the train approached bedok station
many people alighted
many more people boarded
3 kids got up
3 adults scrambled to the seats
2 sat down, 1 was still standing
the last man standing was pushed away by some man who ran from the other side of the carriage.
and the latter just sat down.
what a sight!
i gasped in shock and horror
my jaw dropped to the ground.
such ungraciousness.
well, it seems that sitting on the mrt train can be quite horryfing coz i have to go through a series of spine/back exercises.
coz in cosmopolitan spore, u meet all sorts of ppl
and i always get unkempt ppl sitting around me.
with some kind of stinky smell. obviously nvr bathe in the morning! haha erps.
and i always meet the same stinky smell ppl.
wearing the exact same thing!
HELP ME!
and aidil was telling me that he likes to take bus rides coz theres more things to see.
i agree.
i took 14 to get mango salad at dhobby ghaut from my camp.
i sat behind an acjc girl. the typical stereotype i can say.
and then.
an old man who has a receding hairline board the bus and sat next to her. ALMOST BALD THOUGH. he somehow looks like the karate kid japanese old man.
the chi ko pek however u spelt it was trying to get intimate with her but was abruptly interrupted by yours truly who was staring at them the whole time.
it was a resounding failure. the girl obviously got disgusted and perhaps even panicked and was leaning towards the glass window throughout the entire emergency period. literally squashing herself onto the glass.(im not sure hw i can do that though)
then the girl alighted near teacher's network. and the man spat on the floor.
talking abt the aged, our senior citizens
well. i think the best way to get them fit and healthy is to make them take mrt rides everyday
coz they are very good in running to empty seats. even if it requires complicated manourvering.
yeap. just bcoz they are old, they think that they deserve the right of the seats. and everyone else should give up their seats. even pregnant ladies. i think that they are the most uncivilised bunch on our public transportation system. people will willingly "give up their seats to those who needs it more willingly" then we do if you are nice and polite. but yeah, rude people dont deserve a seat. how to expect youths to be gracious when some of our senior citizens do not lead by example.
and the other day i saw 6 indonesian tourists(they appear quite well dressed and rich) squeezing into 3 seats. of coz there were 3 adults, 3 kids. and none on that row wanted to give up their seats to the tourists, even if it meant that they have to SQUEEZE

so i might be getting my pay tmr,
or over the weekend at least.
may not be much
but shld be enough to get me through
since lunch at the cost of $6 is provided
and frankly, food at ayc is not bad
considering that theres HQ MES and DSTA in the compound.
6 x 20 = $120
so yeap. dunno. lame.
plus i always fix my own breakfast and have dinner at home
so thats quite a saving
i remember that i used to spend lots of money on food while i was working.
office politics is prevalent everywhere.
my place is no exception.
but so far, its been quite light.
luckily ive gone through some kinda experience, a bit only but yeah. some experience
on the importance of protecting yrself at the workplace,
but at the same time not being too defensive
otw u will be considered petty
so ive been typing and typing and typing
and checking and checking and checking
pretty monotonous but its ok lah so far
my colleagues are actually pretty nice, despite the politics.
coz sometimes they talk bad abt another person coz of the person's bad attitude etc.
im a new person. and they've been teaching me lots. and yeah have lots of patience.
just that the new OIC taking over mdm saadah, patrick somehow reminds me of the patrick from spongebob
erps

is it wrong to wish for the past?
to experience moments that are but only memories.
why do we keep wishing that we are in a familiar environment.
with friends who are not with us right now.
doing things that we once hated.
but to realise that no matter how boring things may be, we will eventually learn to appreciate them.
what an irony.
right now, im suffering with the monotony of army life although ive only been posted to my new unit for say 2 weeks.
theres no excitement. perhaps not enough to generate the zest and enthusiasm in me.
perhaps i felt likewise when i was working in coccinelle or singtel.
but if only i could rewind
actually i rather not.
coz i wld have to go through BMT again.
and thats a NO-NO
haha
:p

but our kind OC believes in hardwork so its been cut down to 1/2 day off
so WELL DONE!. congratulations.. yeay

had a fun sunday
feel that i deserved this kind of sunday after leading a rather boring and routined lifestyle over the weekdays.
started off rather early. abt 7plus. guess what.. read newspaper. and slacked instead of exercising! and then i went off for driving lessons. which i revised all the past module 3 topics. guess that i need to book an additional lesson since i havent even started on parallel parking which is a horror to many. kind of mastered the s and crank courses, slope, direction change and verical parking. hope i wont cock up and forget next time.
then i rushed off to meet hak at orchard.
bought tix for war of the worlds.
then we had lunch at mac donalds.
then watched war of the worlds
indeed a nice show. ok lah. actually its a typical american storyline. imagining out of the ordinary. but thsoe stuff abt metallic robotic aliens are actually not foreign. coz in games like sim city 2000, i remember that there were such stuff.
but it was a nice show.
and i finished the biggest bucket of popcorn. on my own.thanks to hak who politely declined my offer.
it wasnt very nice but my fingers did the work.
maybe coz its of the visual effects that made the whole movie very captivating.
but the ending was rather abrupt.
perhaps theres a continuation
ok. then we walked ard orchard as usual
then we waited for azli
and as usual
talked alot of rubbish crappish bullshiet
like haks the faks
lol
anyway
yup met azli for awhile
he is working at wisma one of the shops
so we initially planned to have dinner but then he had some sort of time limit so he had to rush back
so hak and i left for the food cork at meridien hotel for some dinner
i had noodles and the stupid man gave so little for my mango salad and put in alot of chilli
pardon me for my english coz i wanna sleep as soon as possible so i just talk alot of cock
then we walked ard ps for awhile then went home
haha the main thing i wanna bring out this entry is that
i almost got myself into big trouble just now
coz i cldnt take out my contact lenses
i knew that that brand is super difficult to take out but i was just trying to be myself
told myself that hey i havent been wearing for a long time so maybe i shld wear coz when i cleaned my room last week, i discovered that i have over 30 pairs of dailies.
now i know why i chucked them aside
coz they are so difficult to take out
but no joke man
i panicked today
coz i nvr had so much difficulty
it feels like you are learning hw to take out contact lens
the problem abt focus dailies
is that its just too thin
anyway
hope that the off for this coming week is sort of confirmed

i didnt had the intention of staying at home today. afterall its a saturday, and after a rather mundane week at ayer rajah complex, i should have a well deserved break. but it seems that the gap between some of my friends and i have widened so much so that yup, we don't meet as often anymore. in other words, we are so caught up in our own world and our little circle of friends that has somewhat changed drastically. my social circle has totally decreased in size primarily coz of BMT. coz before i enlisted, i had lots of time. and had no problem finding ppl to go out with for almost everyday. but its very different now. thats why, sometimes im quite scared to make new friends. coz it will mean that we might forget the old ones that we know. but anyway, gonna meet hak and qb tmr i tink. hak's gonna enlist next fri so gonna prolly have some fun. lol. rem that he accompanied me on my last day as a civilian on 210405. had pasta and then just slacked ard at coffee crub. haha.
and so, time flies. its already 10 weeks since enlistment. i hope time can go even faster.
i remember :
waking up at around 0510, wishing that we can continue sleeping.
unlocking the cupboard, taking our essentials.
flip flopping to the toilet in our slippers.
hogging the sinks. my routine was to brush my teeth, wash my face with dettol, sometimes shave and then shit in my favourite cubicle - number 2.
then i wld go back to the bunk. wipe myself and then put on PT kit plus shoes. but i will wear the PT kit to sleep actually. a fresh one at night. so i need nt change in the morning. and then we will do some misc stuff like kiwi-ing boots. fold smart 4. adjust SBO etc.
then da sheng would "come lets go, we r gonna be late"
then we wld go to the other bunks and tell them the same thing
then water parade.
we felt the worst in the morning. falling in for 5bx.. that moment. like we have one whole day up ahead. sometimes kissed the floor coz of some inconsiderate recruits.
the shiong-ness of 5bx depended on the instructor.
after running, we wld be hurried to change into our admin shirt at the red track and then march to the cookhse for breakfast for some tasteless food.
sometimes hor fun, sometimes bread, sometimes murtabak or isit prata.
the milo was nice although it tasted a little soapy.
upon completing our meal, we wld march ourselves back to the coy line.
and then either do area cleaning or just slack until the next activity.
usually we wld we called to draw arms.
otherwise we wld get ready to fall in for physical training/endurance training by 740.
sometimes we wld go to the gym and also play games.
9-before lunch is usually the slowest.
sometimes we wld have lectures during that time. lectures that are so dry that u can sleep once the lecture commences.
its so slow that i cant remember what we usually do during that period.
then we change into smart 4, for lunch. just for lunch.
and then march to the cookhse.
i usually sit with the rest of the bunkmates.
the most common topic of discussion was of course about roney.
and then after lunch. pretty slow too. drills etc.
once it is abt 4, everything suddenly seems to be fast.
we wld get ready to go for dinner at abt 5plus.
we look forward to dinner time coz it meant that another day was going to end.
after dinner, we usually wait for CRO.
sometimes we wait until 9pm
haha.
but the gap betwen dinner and cro was usually meant for sending arms and admin matters.
then once we are dismissed after cro
everybody would run to the bunk
grab their stuff and run to the toilets to bathe or do their laundry.
others prefer to use their hp 1st.
then we will usually share our titbits and talk.
and then we will sleep by 2230.
i remember
i kinda miss it
BUT I DONT WANNA GO THROUGH IT EVER AGAIN!!!
unit life is kinda interesting
in my unit that is
lol.
ive just been transffered to NSmen section which means that i handle with ICT matters. yup. all the people who ORD-ed already.
basically its a challenge coz we are dealing with professionals right now. and no longer NSFs.
i think the DXOs there are pretty all right. 3 of them. havent meet one of them. but the rest of the NSFs are [pretty ermm.. unique i must say. one of them gonna ORD next week.
but i sortof miss the main branch coz all the crazy ppl are there.
the comp is lagging dunno why
so means i shld go
bye
