Accustomed to waking up early, i woke up at about 0800 this morning when im supposed to feel tired and exhausted from yesterday's visiting. So, the much awaited 1st day of Hari Raya is over but the celebration actually just started. Initially i thought i wouldn't enjoy myself so much because it is just another ordinary festive occasion but anyhow, there's reflection to be made.
Like:
1)Green Packets(but my parents always give in red maybe for good luck? HAHA)
The old will give the young.
Which means,
To make the chewren happy, uncles/aunties/granduncles and aunties/grannies/grandpas will give green packets to them.
After observing, i realise that the green packets is prolly to strengthen relation and ties coz often enough, we find that they only meet a few times yearly. So it in a way encourages a sweeter relationship between children and adults.
The young will give the old.
Those working and feel that they have a little more to share will give to the older generation. And for this year, my older brother decided to join the fun too.

2)FOOD.
When you go visiting, you will realise that there is a wide array of dishes served.. but.. after visiting several houses, you will be eating the same kind of food but you will not get bored of it. which is weird..
Lontong as an example is available everyday but somehow, eating Lontong on Hari Raya complete with say about 10 other complementary side dishes is a speciality. And when u visit 10 houses in a day, u will realise that at least 8 of the hseholds will force u to eat lontong down your throat (for the 1st few days lah, coz the lontong will run out)

im lazy to blog again
hopeless
