I'm back from GENTING!

It was a good trip. I paid only for the bus ride which was expensive($130 for 2 way) but definitely worth it because kelvin sponsored the hotel room(big boss what). And the hotel room rates. WoW!. Paying 5* prices for a 3* one. I stayed at First World Hotel - Proximity wise it is indeed very very accessible and well-connected, easing navigation. But the hotel does not live up to its name; its more like a Third World Hotel. The rooms were freaking small. The tv was mounted high up plus it is so small that you got to squint yr eyes to see the subtitles. The toilet is really a class of its own. Toilet bowl located in this cubicle with enough space to turn ard and rest yr butts on the toilet bowl after entering through the door. Shower cubicle which was so cramped you had to undress/dress up outside the toilet.
BUT.. the weather was good. the a/m facilities were clean and hygienic and most importanly, the beds were comfortable.

The place was really crowded. Full of asian tourists and locals. And yeah one funny thing abt the hotel. It really resembles a hospital. You got to register at a separate hotel and then get a queue number and wait for your turn. And they provide those kind of chairs that they have at the airport for you to wait on. And then when its breakfast you see lots of ppl running towards the restaurant's entrance and blah blah blah.

The main highlight of the trip was of course, the opportunity to relax and unwind - isnt that what holidays are for. I spent very little, considering that im such a big spender. And i didnt even use my cards to make payment or to withdraw cash. Must say that the exhange rate is really good if you change it in the casino.

Basically, first day was spend recce-ing the place. Initially we had trouble trying to navigate due to the crowd and weird layout, but got accustomed to it soonafter. We reached Genting at abt 12. Had KFC lunch(really overpriced) and then we checked in and then took a rest. Went around the place at abt 5 and ended up having a buffet dinner at Resort Hotel. The 40RM was worth it! And they had the cleanest toilet ive ever seen in msia. :x Night time, we just went round and round and round. Was really hooked to this IMT thingy, a shooting simulation game lah. Was damn fun. And being SAF trained we managed to get near perfect scores of 9.smtg/10 for almost every shot. We aamused ourselves by laughing at the way the others were holding the weapons. LOL.

Woke up quite early the next day. Had breakfast and off we went to the themepark. Took at least 3 roller coaster rides, go-kart, toboggan ride thingy, bumper boat, bumper cars, antique car blah blah blah all at 49RM; which is very very worth it. Is it not? And oh, we had pizza hut for dinner. Damn cheap lah. :x At 1.30am, we entered snowworld. Nothing fascinating but yeah quite fun.

On the 3rd day, Woke up had breakfast, walked ard and it was time to go home. Hmm. Reached sg at abt 1900. Despite the rather heavy traffic, we managed to escape the jam probably due to our luck and maybe the driver's skill in driving.

im tired. gd night!
