After completing the run over 13 hours ago, i just reached home! Today, i ran my FIRST proper-quarter-marathon. Took part in the 10KM cat with DYS1, Lo and Gabby. Initially we regretted not training for the 21KM one. Because we didnt train, we didnt dare to take part in the half-marathon.
The furthest i've ever gone is 8km. I nvr ran 10km before. So it was quite a challenge. I must say it was a good run. Despite the weaving-in-and-out due to the crowd, and the unpredictable terrain(5 steps on grass, and then on gravel, and then on concrete and then on some tiled-floor and then along the drain blah blah coz there were too many ppl blocking yr way - coz the 6km and 10km runs were along the same route).
All was fine until after the waterpoint at Suntec. I didnt had the energy to continue running as fast as before suddenly. So i slowen my pace, and then turned into the 10km route thingy then it started raining all e way until finishing line!
DRENCHED!
I saw lots of ppl all over, like chengwei, melvin, azri, terence and of course other gsmbians(ambians.. whatever.. amphibians). Expected to see more though. But realised that not all my friends are in army.. AND OH!! I SAW JORGINA LEE MIEW HENG AT THE MRT STATION THIS MORNING. (bless her)

Went for the Open Office course together with DYS1, Kelvin, Gabbi, Brian... Among the AMBians. Since e cse ended at 4, we went to lot 1 and then yeah played pool and then went to KFC.

I just came back from giraffe + ben & jerry's coz its kok leong's bday today. So it was the usual gang of farah, dor, pwee me and kok. expected mel, fiona and timothy to be there but yeah there are prolly somewhere in NUS(and tim took MC. oh well ORD personnel~)
I wish i can ORD soon. Like really very very soon. Glad that today, heard that s1 mentioned in the roll call that david must learn everything coz huipheng's leaving for CSSCOM, im gonna ORD(oh really? im only exactlty 2/3 way through my 2 yrs liability) and Lo might go overseas. Lol. And apparently i wasnt in the roll call coz i did some house visits this morning which left me restless the entire afternoon and i had to ask clev for some coffee(which he kindly prepared for me coz i didnt really bother to go over to CO's office to make my own coz i was glued to solving crap shiet work as usual). Man... as what kok leong said, i really shnt work so hard. afterall, i have to assistants. Lol. But i just feel its not responsible enough to "push" the work to them...

Im so tired. I dont know why. I really wonder why. I get paid an allowance 300-400plus a month and im working my butts off, as if im earning 10x more(ie. 3000-4000).
Deferments, CallUps, AIOPS, FFI, Temp PES, Injury Reports, Postings, MP letters, Mob, CRM, MyUnit, IPPT, RT, AWOL Mgt, Dockets, Charge Reports, Awards, Medals, Promotion, MO Forecasts, Contact Tracing, IMDF, starnet email, Hse Visits, saftoe, tagging, courses, cat clearance and the list goes on................................................. shared workload of 4(effectively 2 for now. or 2 1/2 ok lah 3). =(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
Really busy. Really tired. But im fine with it. Im happy doing what im doing. I shldnt be thinking abt money. Coz money is e root of all evil. Ok. So cliched. Nah, shldnt think of money. Its only an incentive. And e more u earn, e more u spend. E more u spend, e more money u want.

First of all. I feel drained out. But before that. I want to complain. They are Coy Clerks. And they enlist 3 months after me. Im e official NSmen slave. I enlist 3 months before them. Guess what. They are promoted exactly 2 weeks after mine is effective.

Ok. Shh. Before they decide to demote me(whoever they are).
I was quite pissed on the train this evening. It was one of those newer trains. Those trains that had only 7 seats per row. Out of the 7 people sitting on the 7 seats, 6 of them alighted at various stops. And i only managed to get a seat at Bedok. Which is 15 stops from where i boarded the train from. LOL! It seems that to qualify for a seat AND to sit on a seat without guilt, you have to have grey/white hair. You have people going on and on complaining about how the ungracious youths of today are not offering their seats to those really in need and here we have aunties and uncles running to empty seats frantically. And trying their best to look extremely old and weak once their butt rest on the seat. Oh Well!
Hey AHM is coming and im not running 21km! Coz its too late to register! Ha. So im running 6km which is nothing compared to 21km. Hor Jacinth?
Auntie Shaun bought a NEW crumpler which is so big i think he can actually fit in the entire Da Chang Jin collection in it.

I was speculating that one of e 3 malays wld be kicked out of Sg Idol. I told my brother that there aren't enough malays out there to ensure that all e 3 malays are gonna stay on. but hey.. thats just a stupid casual remarks which i think is funny but obviously not true. coz we do things regardless of race language or religion... rightt... (btw, im MALAYU. so yeah. im not being racist <-- to those garment ppl who think im cheena and hate the malays and are gonna report me to the police.) Anw back to the main point, rahimah's out. Kinda sad coz i think there are others who deserve to be kicked out more than her. Yes. the entire thing is screwed up! =)

Help me! Save me! In line with the 7th month, theres some Getai Show about 100 metres away from my house. And sound travels in any direction. I feel like i'm in the middle of the national day crowd in national stadium.
Moving on. Wow. S1 actually approved all my 6 suggestions. Ha. Still got one more to hit target, but i guess i will submit 1 more. S1 is popular for only awarding $2.50 for each suggestion no matter how good it is. He is even more famous for rejecting suggestions; those that he deem as non-implement-able.
I ran with DyS1(e new one), Gabby & Lo today. Not bad. Went to do pullups after that. Wanna run 21 click for AHM but dunno whether we are too late to submit our names.
On another note, didnt manage to send Timothy off today. Managed to talk to him on the phone this afternoon, before his flight. I dont know. I get kind of sad over such stuff. Of course im happy for him coz he is gonna gain that experience, but his "departure" is like so sudden. One day he is yr gd friend in camp, and the next week he is already flying off to another country. I guess in such situation, you're most reluctant to leave coz of yr family. But its only through such situations that you gain e experience essential in our journey called life.
Anyways i think Kenny and Jack are collecting their pink ICs tmr. To think that when i came in both of them were still PTEs. lol.
Compared to 1 yr ago, S1 branch is way different. This includes NS Section. But all these experience will of course be useful in life. Anw, Hui pheng is leaving for CSSCOM in Feb. Kind of relieved, otw i have to relieve OIC duties. But dunno if it will affect her promotion/grading etc.
Guess im fully adjusted to army life. I keep talking about it. :( what to do. there's nothing else to talk about. When i sleep, i think of all e problems in camp and how to solve them. E moment i wake up, i think of what to do when im in camp. So yes. And i've been making my little corner in camp even cosier by e day. Seems that i only go home to bathe, eat and watch tv.
And oh. my promotion came out in the BRO already. although its only effective mid next mth(meaning im cheated 30 dollars) but who cares! Thanks to gabby and S1. LOL.
And it was an entire article dedicated to my promotion. Even shaun had to "share" with other ppl. haha

It was damn funny because i was damn thick-skinned to have asked S1 about my promotion. What was even funnier was that i was going round and round; i didnt directly talk about my OWN promotion so when he finally sensed what i meant, he went "basket.. u talking about your own promotion isit?" Then he said. "i promoted u already what..." I said. Yeah effective from 16/08. Then i was trying to say that i was raised e issue up coz there were coy line ppl who enlisted 3 mths after me but their date for promotion is 01/08. Which obviously i felt was not fair. Coz naturally i felt that i contributed enough so its not justifiable if someone who enlist 3 mths after me to be promoted before me. LOL. And shaun thought likewise too. Right Shaun Tio Pei Xiong? i mean CPL Auntie Shaunda. And he called Gabby immediately. I was like.. "WOW"ed by his actions coz i didnt expect him to go all the way. He even asked Gabby if can backdate my promotion to 01/08. Thing about boss is must raise issues up directly with him, then he will try to fight for u. LOL. But i quote his word.. "if the guy is due for promotion, we give him lah.."
And. I stayed to do OT again yesterday. Well. So much work to do nowadays. Having 2 PAs definitely doesnt help coz my 2 PAs are like 2 bosses instead - gotta check the stuff they do and in the end i do everything. :) but hoping things will improve.
Supposed to go out for tim's farewell last night but then it was cancelled. Anyway gonna send him off on monday i guess!
Oh parade on tues. ARGHH!! AGAIN.. lol. shld not have asked shaun to change my duty to thurs. ARGH!!

For the 1st time while in service, i reported sick! 2 nights ago, had an overdose of longans. So ended up w sorethroat and blocked nose yesterday. And while savouring the delicious delights during yesterday's buffet dinner, felt kinda feverish. Woke up this morning. Felt better, but was forced by my parents nt to go to work and to go to e doctor instead. Luckily i listened to their advice, coz im still feeling very drowsy and kind of feverish, probably due to the medicine.
And guess what, doctor told me i've nvr been to e clinic since feb 2004, which is like over 2 years. And i dont remember going to other doctors or polyclinic(although it was e trend to visit tamp polyclinic to get 4 dollars mc, but my civics tutor didnt really care abt mcs i think).
Doctor asked me whether im still a student while he was issuing out the MC. i said no. NS. told him that im actually very stressed and overworked. He asked for my vocation. i Said. "manpower branch.. clerk.." he was like.. "huh. clerk overwork?" LOL.
