It is customary for me to round up the year by listing out the significant events which happened throughout the year. For a change, I have selected the 5 (or so) most meaningful photographs to represent each month. Enjoy.

October 2007
Wonderful projectmates. They were similarly attired, and I was the one who realised it lor. From left, Shifa, Jiamin, Lisa and Kern. (I actually wore blue jeans and black tshirt but changed out of it before I left my house because I was going to school for only 1 lecture).

This time round, we decided to wear red. But Kern wore green instead, so he had to take the photograph. So this is the reason why we deserve our well-deserved 23/25 A grade for the project... because we always stay back in school until so late.

Playing with Shifa's photobooth.

Playing with Juni's photobooth during a (boring) lecture.

One of the events organised by Startup@Singapore 08 - CEO unplugged. Adam Khoo and boss of Thai Express came down to give a talk.

November 2007

Supposedly-mugging with Monster!!

In the words of Jelene, "MUG THE BUG BECKONS!!"

December 2007

End of Exams!!

To sum up, 2007 has been great.
Highlights of 2007:
Cruise --> ORD --> HK Trip --> Back to Study.

Some points to touch on:
1. Benazir Bhutto's assasination.
I am not a big fan of politics, but having learnt about the politics & history of the region in my South Asian module, I have taken great interest in this issue. I am particularly disturbed because although we know that often enough, political leaders get assasinated in the course of history (esp in the region), the recent assasination is clearly something unexpected in present-day situation. I feel quite sad because Benazir Bhutto represented Pakistan's hope of a democratized nation. And I feel disturbed because there are people out there making sweeping statements (online) by reasoning that it is primarily due to gender inequality/discrimination in the Muslim World. This has nothing to do with the entire political climate. They should take SN1101E.

2. Sem 1 Performance.
I was not looking forward to Sem 1, because I had to take an additional module which didn't count towards my Modular Credits. I wonder how on earth did I manage to cope this semester because Darren pointed out that I was doing 6 modules, and I have a CCA. Also, (I am adding this myself) I spend 3 hours travelling everyday!
But the 2-3 weeks before the examinations were terrible. I just wanted to prove myself that I could achieve something, esp after the disastrous A level results.
I gave my best for each (graded) assignment and there were always feedback to work on and improve on certain parts.
I don't know if I can sustain this kind of positive energy. I had to keep telling myself to stay positive although it was getting really weary at certain points due to the intense rate at which things were going. Probably it is precisely because everything was moving so quickly that we didn't had time to feel depressed/whatever.
I need a new strategy in Sem 2 though. Because my 2 CNM & 1 TS module is more of CA based i think. Plus, I am taking Chinese Lang which is entirely assessed by CA.

3.
A lot of people tell me I am getting skinnier. How? Eating don't work. Eggsersai also don't work? How leh?

I guess that's enough. I have long given up on coming up with a list of New Year Resolution because they just don't work.

In closing, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
