In my heart, I was actually cursing and swearing that I HAD DRAG TO MYSELF TO GO TO SCHOOL FOR A MEETING!! But I was in for a pleasant surprise. When I arrived at the venue, I noticed that Jin Jing had a big bag full of drinks and chips. I thought that she bought those stuff for some class gathering/party after the meeting. As the others were late, I excused myself to check my email at the computer terminal. When I came back, everyone else had already arrived and the first thing I saw was... a birthday cake! My expression was.... from :| to :) to :| because I was realllly surprise!! So that's why none of them wished me Happy Birthday yesterday - because I found it quite strange that only Raymond did so (he is overseas), and even Xiao Chen dropped me a msg on facebook. So, that's why.. the surprise!
I thought that I won't be able to blow a normal sized cake with 2 big and 2 small sized candles this year (because I didn't bother to get a cake yesterday or rather, no one bothered to get me a cake), so I was really excited (and shy) to blow off the candles this afternoon.
After the meeting, I met Chinkee and Jacjac for dinner at Raffles City. Had another pleasant surprise when Mark passed me something when I passed by Aigner. I thought he was joking because he wanted to pass me a flat Aigner envelope - I nearly walked away. But then he gave me one of his rare serious im-not-kidding-faces so yeah. Thank You!
Oh, I finally sent my phone for repair. Cost me 90 bucks to get the LCD replaced, but the guy only took 15 minutes, so it's worth the money. Other shops were charging what, $120. I was going from corner to corner (since HP repair shops do not qualify to be a shop, based on size) asking for quotation lah. Did it the true blue Singaporean way.
